A video that caught my attention.

This video is about how trees can grow up to more than 100 meters and transport water to the top most branches even though the maximum height limit that water can be sucked up is 10 meters. It also explains how trees manage to transport water above 10 meters.

3 things that I have learnt from this video:

  1. I have learnt that the maximum height that water can be sucked up is 10 meters .
  2. The thinner the tube, the higher the water can climb.
  3. Less than 1% of the water in the tree is being used in photosynthetic reactions,5% of the water is being used to make new cells and the rest just evaporates.
